Native Bee Block
The back and front of recycled 4x4 posts, cut at about 12" long also showing the 5/16' wood borer. The masking tape, on the borer, is your depth guide when drilling the holes. The dots are the ideal spacing of the holes.
The finished blocks (aka bee condos) are placed on the NE corner of most homes. The native bees prefer the early morning sun.
The native bee block placed on your home will invite the best pollinators in your area. They are self managing, no additional work needed. Now your flowers and vegetables will be pollinated assuring you of your fruits, vegetables, and seeds.
If you do not wish to make one you can buy one from this supplier, along with a great book called "The Orchard Mason Bee" by Brian L. Griffin from this site.
